At Ibiza, we believe privacy is a fundamental right. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our merchant intelligence platform for African SMEs. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you create an account, use our services, or contact us. This includes your name, email address, phone number, business information, and payment details. We also collect information about your use of our platform, including broadcast analytics, customer engagement data, and technical information about your device and browser.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide, maintain, and improve our services, process transactions, send you technical notices and support messages, respond to your comments and questions, and communicate with you about products, services, and promotional offers. We also use your information to monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities in connection with our services.
3. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties without your consent, except as described in this policy. We may share your information with service providers who assist us in operating our platform, conducting our business, or serving our users. We may also disclose your information if required by law or to protect our rights and safety.
4. WhatsApp Integration
Our service integrates with WhatsApp Business API. When you use our platform to send messages via WhatsApp, your messages are subject to WhatsApp's privacy policy and terms of service. We do not store the content of your WhatsApp messages on our servers beyond what is necessary to provide our analytics and reporting features.
5. Instagram Integration
Our platform integrates with the Instagram Graph API via Meta's Business Login for Instagram. When you connect your Instagram Business account to Ibiza, we access and store the following data on your behalf: • Account information: Instagram username, account ID, follower count, and profile details • Media: Posts, Reels, and Carousel content including captions, media URLs, permalinks, and publish timestamps • Insights: Reach, impressions, engagement metrics, profile visits, and per-post performance data • Comments: Comment text, commenter usernames, and Instagram-scoped user IDs on your media • Messaging: Instagram Direct Message threads initiated through our automated reply features This data is stored solely to power your Ibiza merchant dashboard. We do not use your Instagram data for advertising, we do not sell it to third parties, and we do not share it with any party outside of the service providers necessary to operate Ibiza. You may disconnect your Instagram account at any time from your dashboard settings. Upon disconnection, your Instagram access token is deleted immediately. Historical posts and insights data are retained for 30 days before permanent deletion unless you request immediate deletion. Our use of Instagram data complies with Meta's Platform Terms and Developer Policies.
6. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. This includes encryption of data in transit and at rest, regular security assessments, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.
8. Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information. You can also opt out of certain communications from us. If you are located in the European Union, you have additional rights under GDPR, including the right to data portability and the right to object to processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
